Our partners & a taste of the region

At the Small Kohlberg, Our cuisine is deeply rooted in the local area. For many years, we have chosen to work hand in hand with local producers. local producers, farmers and craftsmen, with a focus on short circuits, the product quality and sustainable approaches.
These trusted partnerships are at the heart of our identity and give our cuisine its full meaning.

Vegetables
All the vegetables served in the restaurant come from market gardener Gasser, located approximately 14 km of the establishment. A proximity that guarantees freshness, seasonality and respect for the rhythm of nature.

The fish
Our freshwater fish, in particular carp and the trout, come from Friesen or the Pisciculture Beaume in Franche-Comté, recognised for the quality of its breeding.

Bread and pastries
Bread and Viennese pastries are entirely home-made.
The flour we use comes from Jenny Mill in Hésingue, a mill engaged in organic farming, a guarantee of authenticity and flavour.

Eggs
The eggs are supplied by Ferme Richard in Roppentzwiller, located approximately 15 km of the Petit Kohlberg. This operation is committed to organic farming, with respect for animal welfare.

Meat
Some of the meat comes from occasionally from the family farm adjoining the hotel, These products offer perfect traceability and direct support for local agriculture.

Honey
We work with a local beekeeper which has set up its honey production directly on our farm. This unique partnership strengthens the link between production, processing, reception and sales.

The wines
From 1999, We work with the same winegrower: Paul Buecher in Wettolsheim. This family business, run as a biodynamics, has been with our restaurant for many years and is an integral part of our history.

Through these long-term collaborations, we are affirming our commitment to a sustainable sincere cooking, respectful of its environment and the people who bring it to life.

------------

Woof, woof! We, the 4 hairy guardians of Petit Kohlberg, love running, playing and keeping an eye on things.

But here's the thing... we're a bit possessive: sharing our domain with other dogs is out of the question!
With the exception, of course, of the heroes that are guide dogs for the blind.

So.., if you come to visit us, please leave your 4-legged friends at home.

We promise to welcome you with lots of hugs and good humour!

Important information - Thank you for your understanding

For us, respect for a job well done also means respect for the people who make it possible every day. Occasionally, due to an exceptional workload or a shortage of staff, we have to close our doors. These decisions are never taken lightly: they enable us to maintain the balance of our team and continue to offer you a quality service over the long term.

👉 We therefore invite you to give us a call before you come.to make sure the house is open. This avoids inconvenience for you... and gives our team a break when it's needed.

📅 In addition, when a bank holiday falls on a Monday (when we are usually closed), we may exceptionally close on the following Wednesday, in order to guarantee the team its two days off. This way of working ensures that we maintain a healthy and sustainable dynamic.

🙏 Thank you for your kindness and loyalty. Together, with mutual respect, we bring this place to life.
